Writing tips & tricks!
When you first start writing, you're gonna want to have a clear image of what you want in your head. It might not finish how you want it to be, but as long as you and your audience know what you're writing about, then it's all good.

Next, what is your theme? Is it romance, action, horror, sci-fi, gothic, to name a few. You want to know what the theme is, unless you're just gonna wing it, but if you have a theme guideline, it makes your writing more clearer to read.

Now, who are the characters? When creating characters, you need to give them looks, personality and a background. A quick note... GAY IS NOT A PERSONALITY. Unless you're Netflix, you should know this. Gay is a sexuality. For looks, you want to have a clear image of what they look like in your head. What's their body shape? Are they fit and athletic or out of shape and lazy? Do they have any birthmarks/scars/predominant features? What color and length is their hair? Is it straight, curly, frizzy? What color are their eyes, if they have any. Do they have dimples? Make sure to include the small features into your image of them. You don't necessarily have to tell the audience all of this, but as long as you know what they look like and how they act, writing about their actions will be easy.

Now, to the story itself. Where is it set? Is it in the German trenches in 1917? Is it in an American nightclub during 2018? Maybe it's at home during 2020. Make sure you know what year it is, where in the world the story is set and all those little details.

What about the grammar and punctuation? These are all important to have a good, well-structured piece of writing. Names and places need to be capitalized. For example 'Alice, Mark, Frankfurt, Moscow etc'. I can't believe I have to say this, but I have met people older than I am who still don't capitalize names like that. What about your spelling? Is it correct? Most people get 'your' and 'you're' wrong. Your is used when referring to something belonging to someone, for example, 'Is this your cat?'. You're is a combination of you and are. For example, 'I can't believe you're doing this!'. Please, for the love of God... GET THIS RIGHT!! You should've learnt this in primary/elementary school! Punctuation should be easy. When making lists, you want to add a comma or the forward slash (/). If you have a very long sentence, you must add a comma in so the reader doesn't read it all in one go, and lose their breath. After a sentence, and I can't stress this enough... ADD A FULL STOP!! My classmates, 13 and 14 year olds, still write sentences WITHOUT commas or full stops, it really pisses me off.
